Strong buildings start with tested materials.

Every slab, column and road rests on the quality of its materials. A cube that fails in the laboratory is a problem you can fix early. The same failure on site is far more costly.

At GS Buro India Services we test the materials that go into your construction and report the results honestly. Our laboratory at Sangamwadi is set up with a digital compression testing machine, a full range of test sieves, a cement autoclave and soil testing apparatus.

Whether you are a contractor, builder, engineer, architect or a homeowner, you can bring us your samples and get a clear report you can rely on.

Tests we carry out

The most common tests our clients ask for, done on proper instruments and recorded with care.

Concrete cube compressive strength

Cubes cast in standard moulds are crushed on our digital machine, and the peak load is recorded to confirm the grade of concrete.

Brick compressive strength

Bricks are loaded until failure to check whether they can carry the load your design needs.

Sieve analysis

Sand and aggregates are separated through sieves from 4 mm to 38 micron to check their grading.

Cement soundness

Cement is tested in the autoclave under high-pressure steam to see whether it will expand after setting.

California Bearing Ratio

Soil is compacted and soaked in a CBR mould to judge its strength for roads and foundations.

Field dry density of soil

A core cutter is driven into the ground to measure how well the soil has been compacted on site.

Our instruments

Good results need good instruments. These are the main ones we use every day.

Compression testing machine, plate type digital

Finds the compressive strength of concrete cubes, cylinders and bricks by applying a steady load until the sample fails. 2000–3000 kN capacity, a digital display that shows the load live, a peak-hold function, and a protective door that keeps debris inside.

Test sieves

Precision sieves for particle size analysis. Brass or stainless steel frames in 8, 12 and 18 inch sizes, with woven wire or perforated plate. Mesh runs from 4 mm down to 38 microns, in line with ASTM, ISO, BSS and IS standards.

Cement autoclave

Tests the soundness of cement and other hydraulic materials using high-pressure steam. Handles 60 to 350 psi and temperatures up to 200 °C, and comes with a pressure regulator, safety pop valve and pressure gauge.

Concrete cube moulds

Heavy cast iron or steel split moulds to IS 516 and IS 10086. Available in 150 mm and 100 mm sizes, with machined faces and a rigid base plate so the cubes stay true during compaction.

CBR mould

Used for soil compaction and soaking tests. Galvanised steel, 152.4 mm diameter and 177.8 mm height, with a detachable extension collar and a perforated base plate.

Core cutter with rammer

Measures the in-place dry density of soil. A steel cutter of 100 mm × 130 mm, a steel driving dolly, and a 9 kg rammer dropping from 900 mm.

PVC cube moulds

Light and easy to handle moulds for casting concrete test specimens.

Why clients choose us

Testing is only useful if you can trust the number. That is what we focus on.

Accurate readings

A digital load display with peak hold records the exact force at failure, so there is no guesswork in the result.

Tests as per standards

Our moulds, sieves and apparatus follow IS, ASTM, ISO and BS standards, so your results are accepted by consultants and authorities.

Clear, simple reports

You get results written in plain language with the key figures up front, ready to attach to your project records.

Easy to reach in Pune

Our office is at Shivajinagar and our laboratory is at Sangamwadi, both close to the centre of the city.
